mousesports win GG.BET Invitational to qualify for IEM Beijing

MOUZ have secured a spot at IEM Beijing after topping the invitational European qualifier, hosted by GG.BET.
The European mixture continued their hot streak as they built on their recent qualification for DreamHack Masters Malmö by topping another online qualifier, this time against FORZE, who finished their third straight tournament in second place. The victory comes as a timely boost for MOUZ, who will return to action on Sunday in the semi-finals of the V4 Future Sports Festival after topping their group.
Initially, it looked the Russian team would get back to winning ways and bounce back from the recent disappointments at BLAST Pro Series Moscow and in the first week of ECS Season 8. They cruised to a 10-5 lead on the Terrorist side of Mirage and followed that up with a pistol round success in a 2v5 situation, eventually getting just two rounds away from victory.

Pinned against the ropes, MOUZ dug deep and went on a massive run, winning ten rounds in a row to reach map point before FORZE equalised the score at 15-15. The Russian team's efforts were fruitless, though, as they were outplayed in overtime and lost four rounds straight.
Dust2 was a completely different story: MOUZ ran rampant from the offset and raced to a 14-5 lead. FORZE still tried to get back into the game and put together a string of rounds, but Finn "karrigan" Andersen's troops held on and laid the game to rest in the 26th round.
